Interpublic Group’s research division MAGNA Global has published its latest Forecast for online video ad spending. Online ad spend will pass the $1 billion benchmark in 2011 in the United States, with similar growth in all other markets.
According to MAGNA, client interest in online video advertising is not solely driven by the increase of broadband connectivity. A strong driver is the growth of the professionally produced video content, as evidenced by the trend for traditional TV channels to increasingly include video content specifically purposed for the Internet in production budgets.
